deep release
a workshop series
What is it? This workshop series is all about self care. We go deep into releasing tight, stiff and sore muscles through the use of self massage, dynamic stretching, and somatic movement. We’ll work head to toe to make sure you have plenty of material to work with and adjust to your specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions:
I already have some Yoga Tune Up balls. Can I just pay less and not receive the package? Not this time. But even if you have some already, you won’t regret having more. As you have probably noticed, as the natural rubber begins to wear down, they soften up a bit.. I love having some balls that are softer, for the more sensitive areas and others that are a bit firmer for things like my feet, and detailed work in my shoulders… If you really just don’t care to have more massage tools in your home, they make perfect gifts!
I have to miss one of the Sundays. Can I still come to the rest? Absolutely! With the recording, you can watch at your leisure throughout the week. However, since there is limited space in the studio, you will need to register and pay for the full price of the in person option. Otherwise you may of course choose to attend online only!
What do I need to have or bring? If you are coming to the studio, just bring yourself- mat and props will be provided, but feel free to bring your own! If you are attending online only, or if you are planning on using the recording at home after the session, it will be helpful to have at least 2 blocks, a yoga strap, a blanket and access to a wall- all of which are generally good to have for any at home yoga practice. However, substitutions such as a stack of books, a long scarf, or a towel can be used in lieu of yoga props.
Can I share this with my partner? Absolutely! However, if you are planning on rolling at the same time, you will both need all the massage tools necessary, so contact me to purchase an extra set.
I love the work we did in the workshop.. how can I keep it up after? You will learn lots of ways to help yourself at home. However, I do teach many of these techniques in my weekly Yoga Tune Up classes at Yogaholics United- every Tuesday evening at 6:30.
Can I use any massage tool as a substitute? Yes.. but be aware: There are many tools out there. As a massage therapist of over 15 years, I have tried them all! Yoga tune up balls are my choice to work with because of their pliability, grippy texture, and multiple sizes, but of course if you have others that you love to work with please listen to what your body is asking. However, I do highly recommend that if you are using other tools for this specific kind of work that they are not made out of wood, plastic, or other very hard material. for more on why, read this article.
